Hello Again!!

We are back after taking a brief break!!

I have been working on a couple new projects in between

working on genealogy.

I have been updating my Parker Branch in my Family Tree.  I have discovered 

that not only is there a distance relative who won the Stanley Cup with

the Ottawa Senators ( 1921) but one who also won the Grey Cup twice (1925 & 1926) 

with the Ottawa Roughriders. It is amazing the things you can find these days.

I have finished a few new projects recently, a Minnie Mouse Halloween

We have friends going to Disney in September and they received over 200 Pins 

yesterday for their Pin trading. We have never really done Pin Trading.

 recommend to try for our next trip?

New Items!

Summer has Arrived 

in Wasaga!!

Finally it is starting to get warm!  Our Momma Bird has left since a neighborhood
cat got to her nest.

Hopefully, she will build another nest in a safer spot
and try again.

 I have been working on some Summer Shawls

that has taken a little bit longer than I anticipated.

I originally was making one for myself but it seems it will 

be Elizabeth's. We are going to a wedding next week 

and the colour matches the dress she will be
wearing. I will post a picture with her dress
next week.

The other I made is Teal Colour. This one is a birthday present
for a special person.
Shhhhh! Don't Tell.
I really hope she will love the colour as much as I do.
She may also have to share with her little one.

Now for the Pink I added a couple more rows just to make it

a little bigger, but the Teal I made exact size as the pattern specified.

New Momma in Wasaga

We have a NEW MOMMA!!!

My husband discovered a nest above our

meter reader yesterday.

So we carefully from a distance looked 

and there was 1 blue egg.

Momma Bird was in the nest most of today.  After

she left for a bit, we again took another look and 

now we have 2 blue eggs.

Apparently Robins lay 1 egg per day and usually

lay 4-6 eggs called a clutch.  So we will see how many

we end up with.

I loved this hat when I first saw the Pattern.  For the Blue Newsboy I used Bernat

Satin Yarn. For the Pink I used a less Shiny Yarn.  As much as I like Bernat

Satin, I think the Pink Knits up better for this Pattern.
